Sleepy in Seattle

Well, the results are in... Seattle is officially the #1 city thus far according to Marc and Melissa!

After experiencing all that Salt Lake City had to offer, we packed our bags and hopped in the VW. We decided that we would drive through the night until we reached Seattle to save time and money. Let it be known, this will be the last time we pull an all-nighter! We arrived fatigued on Saturday morning and thanks to the friendly staff at our hotel, we were able to park, check-in early, and take a quick nap. We were blessed Saturday and Sunday with cloudy skies and warm temperatures of 50 degrees (warm compared to 0). The weather was a nice surprise, but nothing compared to how charming Seattle was.

Right in Downtown Seattle the city built a Farmers Market at Pike Place Market because the citizens of Seattle demanded that they could have a place to purchase fresh produce and groceries straight from the farmers. For all of you coffee lovers, Guess what is right next to the Pikes Place Market? Thats right, the beginning of the Starbucks addiction was created right here. After experiencing all the fresh flowers, produce, fish, meat, and local art something inside of us said, "This is how it should be everywhere".

If we could describe Seattle in one word, it would be "inspiring". It is "inspiring" to see people doing what they love all throughout the city. There was much more of Seattle that we wanted to see but we need to keep moving. But fear not Seattle, we will be back to visit soon;)

Since Seattle we have ventured through the coast of Oregon and the Redwoods National Park in Northern California. But you will have to stay tuned to see those pictures!
