Day 2 - Goodbye Montreal, Helo Toronto

Welcome back to the to the winter adventures of Marc and Melissa!

Dont worry, we are safe and sound in Toronto. We left Montreal this Tuesday morning after visiting the beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral. We decided to get an early start on the road since the winter weather would be taking a turn for the worse as the day went on. We beat the snow to Toronto but looks like the first blizzard of south Ontario caught up to us. Did you hear that New England?!?!?! We have more snow than Canada, yay!!

For dinner we grabbed a bite at a local pub in Downtown Toronto. Since it was our last day in Canada, we ordered the local favorite Pitoine (French Fries with Brown Gravy, Cheese Curds, and Green Onions (Mmmmm) and other comfort foods.

After Dinner we decided to brave the cold and walk around the city for a little while. After about 5 minutes, we ran to the car and toured the Toronto from the comfort of the heated Jetta. The city was buzzing with the winter storm and shops and restaurants were shutting down for the night. It was a unique experience driving through the streets of Toronto with no one else on the roads. The City has a very trendy and urban feel that reminds us of a scaled-down NYC.

As beautiful as Toronto is we must leave soon and get back on the road. Even though the weather is not perfect, we still need to keep on moving. The next stop will be Grand Rapids, Michigan so we can see Aunty Lucy, Ben, Andrea, Isaiah & Evangeline Marie Zabel :)
