This is our first post from the road and we are pleased to bring you what has happened so far. While we know you are recovering from your SAG Awards Parties, we are glad you are reading our Blog.
We left beautiful Ludlow MA this morning at 6:00 a.m. and it was a gorgeous 4 degrees outside. It was at around 8 o'clock we realized it was going to be much colder in Canada... a chilly -5 degrees today. The Adirondack Mountains in New York offered an amazing driving experience. This is where we stopped to catch some sun and have a cold Corona;) We made it across the boarder with no issues and got into Montreal at Noon. We checked into our cozy B&B and decided to go grab some lunch at Canada's oldest deli called Shwartz's and got the highly recommended Smoked Beef Sandwich. The meal was delicious, cheap, and a nice break from the freezing cold.
We could sugar coat this Blog and tell you everything has been just magical in Montreal. But the truth is, this Canadian weather is brutally cold and we are worried we may get frost bite and end up back in Providence if we don't get out of here soon. We did discover the infamous "Underground City" and it was more like the Peter Pan bus station in Springfield. So we did what anyone would do, we grabbed a coffee and started people watching. After 2 hours of doing that we decided it was time to face the cold and head back to the B&B to make some plans for the evening. Now we are off to see what the Montreal nightlife has to offer on a Monday (doesn't look too promising). This is where we will leave you for tonight and we will update you tomorrow with our last sights of Montreal and our journey to Toronto!
