Well as you have probably noticed the Blog has been on a break for a little while now. That is because we have finally found the sun we have been searching for. It put us into a very lazy and relaxed mood that is not safe when your traveling so we decided to just roll with it and stay for a week.
Coming from New Orleans we traveled around the Florida pan handle and headed to Clearwater for our first stop. We visited our fantastic Aunts and Grandparents for some much needed family time. In a nut shell, we played some minute-to-win-it games, chilled at the beach, ate a lot, and set my Grandma up with a new Facebook Pic. We would like to thank Susan, Barbara & Gram for their hospitality and if you ever need to sleep on our couch you are more than welcome:)
On our way out of Clearwater we noted an overly muscular and tan person on a little scooter. It was none other than the one, the only, Hulkamania!!! Yeah BROTHER!!! needless to say, he was not very friendly and looked like a man who has been through a lot. But that didn't stop me from screaming like a girl, "Hulk! Hulk! Hulk! I LOVE you Man!!!!" Awww to be a fan:)
After Clearwater it was off to the Atlantic Coast of Florida and that was Bike Week in New Smyrna! We didn't plan on being there for bike week, it kind of just happened. But thank goodness we brought all of our leather because we blended right in. Any who, New Smyrna beach is the "shark bite capital" in the world, so I was entertained all week with fishing. My goal was to catch a shark and put it in the pool so I could prove to Melissa I truly can wrestle the beast and win. I just need to make sure I can control the environment:) Not sure what Melissa did all week while I was fishing, but she looked pretty relaxed (probably drinking *wink*wink). The above observations may not be completely accurate.
The total fish count was as follows:
6 Catfish
1 Sheepshead
1 Sting Ray
1 Sea Turtle (unfortunately it was killed by a boat propeller)
0 Sharks
They tell me that July is the time to catch some Sharks, so that is when I will try again. Now we are headed south to West Palm Beach and Miami!!!
Stay tuned for more…
