Adam had planned to rent a boat so we could travel around the Miami waterways and live like the rich and famous:) We went to Star Island, the Venetian Islands, Monument Island and in the Port of Miami. It was great to see the city from the water, some of those houses will blow you away. Although the only people we consistently saw at the homes were maintenance crews taking care of the property. Because I don't like paying for routine maintenance I guess I wont be purchasing any of these homes as originally planned. We pulled the boat up to the small Monument Island and just relaxed in the fantastic weather. Adam was kind enough to let me drive the boat back and boy was I excited. So excited that I forgot to put the boat in neutral when docking it and almost single handedly sunk the dock and the boat in one fell swoop. Don't worry, he bought the insurance:) The captain was yelling at me to put it in neutral and I just said " oh the other neutral". Well we got it docked and everyone was safe, including the boat :)
After the boating escapade we were exhausted and just wanted to grab some food and hit the hay, and thats just what we did. the rest of our time in West Palm Beach was just for relaxing and enjoying our time with the weather and Adam. We had a great time and we truly were sad to say goodbye. But as always, the trip must keep moving forward.

Wow!! you have some great pictures in this blog. I like the creative ones you did in Florida part 1 as well. My 2 fave's on Florida part 2 are the black and white alligator/croc (whichever it is) and the iron fence with the yellow flowers!!!
ReplyDeleteNice to see Adam in the pics too! Miss you Adam!
